Welcome to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first universal museum in the Arab world! This museum is a unique testament to the spirit of the United Arab Emirate’s people and its leaders.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi showcases both ancient and contemporary works of historic, cultural, and sociological interest from around the world. The museum’s collection comprises some 700 artworks and groups of artworks from every period and civilization, from prehistoric times to the present day.
The museum is located on Saadiyat Island and was inaugurated in 2017. It is the result of an unprecedented partnership between France and the United Arab Emirates, and it is France’s largest cultural project abroad.
The museum is open from Sunday to Saturday, 10am to midnight. Galleries and exhibitions close at 6.30pm on weekdays and 8.30pm from Friday to Sunday.
